Wasa-Nabin is a Program for Urban Indigenous Youth aged 13-18. The Wasa-Nabin program is grounded in cultural ways of being, providing a sense of belonging for each youth while supporting them with individualized plans.

Wasa-Nabin is a Program for Urban Indigenous Youth aged 13-18. The Wasa-Nabin program is grounded in cultural ways of being, providing a sense of belonging for each youth while supporting them with individualized plans. Support focuses on social skills, educational intervention, individuals with disabilities, violence prevention, justice supports, Youth in care or at risk of being in the care of the Children’s Aid Society, 2S-LGBTQQIAP+ supports, and positive nutrition and physical activity practices.

The program offers a variety of strategies such as one-to-one activities, group activities, leadership opportunities and family circles to encourage walking a good path and encouraging a positive wellbeing. The Wasa-Nabin program provides a space where Urban Indigenous Youth can feel safe to be themselves and accepted.
