The M’Wikwedong Indigenous Prenatal Nutrition Program provides services for pregnant and postnatal Indigenous families in a
culturally sensitive and supportive manner. Programs provided include cooking and nutrition, infant
development, traditional crafts, exercise opportunities, prenatal classes and group lactation support.
Services offered are home and hospital visits, fresh food bags, breastfeeding counseling, and connections to Elders and
The program seeks to aid all Metis, off- reserve First Nations and Inuit people in healthier pregnancy
choices that will lead to better birth outcomes and healthier babies.
